This talk will present the role of the mash media storyteller, a discipline born from the changing face of participatory media.
These mash media storytellers create character collaboratively, understand Web 2.0 tools, and perform on the stage of the Global Theatre.
By combining examples of my own work and those of other mash media storytellers I will seek to inspire a new generation of storytellers to take full creative advantage of the media age
we are now living in to collectively tell, share, and participate in the global story.
James Chutter
James' activities and work includes working as a professional photographer, actor, film maker (Dean's Honors grad of the venerable NYU Film School,) blogger, digital cultivator and most importantly an original Corporate Hipster.
Amidst all this James has completed his masters of applied arts. His thesis on the evolution of the oral storytelling tradition in a digital world is a fascinating study of past and present modes of storytelling used by society. He combines inspiration from fine art sculptors, and remix DJs which he contextualizes within contemporary media theory and current blogger buzz.
With an ear to the ground and an eye on the future he seeks to lead the discussion and facilitate the communication in order to push the global story further through shared media.
Wow! Tickets are sold out for the entire conference. We're sorry we don't have room for everyone who wants to attend.
