Doing the Limbo: Navigating the space in between - Create relationships, not distance

What happens in this crazy world, when our old familiar geographic and organizational boundaries are redefined by a global economy and social media? Do these new spaces strand us in an "in between" limbo, or are we doing a new dance to make the most of them?

Join Laura Blankenship, Barbara Ganley (coordinator) and Nancy White as we open with three stories about new spaces and then join us in a game naming the practices as dances (rather than leaving us half way to Hades!)

Speakers

Laura is a former educational technologist and is currently building her own technology consulting company, Emerging Technologies Consulting.

Barbara recently left higher education to start a nonprofit, Digital Explorations, dedicated to helping rural towns explore the impact of social media on physical community through the creation of downtown Centers for Community Digital Exploration.

Nancy consults with non profits and organizations around online and offline collaboration and learning strategies and practices. She is co-author of the upcoming book "Digital Habitats: stewarding technology for communities" with Etienne Wenger and John Smith.
