This year, Northern Voice has secured three amazing keynote speakers - Nora Young, Stewart Butterfield, and Rob Cottingham. Stuart will be the keynote for MooseCamp on Friday and Nora and Rob will open up the conference part of Northern Voice on Saturday.
Nora Young is a Canadian broadcaster and writer. She was the original host of CBC Radio's 'Definitely Not the Opera' and has produced documentaries for CBC shows such as Ideas. In 2007, she launched Spark on CBC Radio One. The show, which she hosts, focuses on "the way technology affects our lives, and the world around us." The show utilizes a unique format, in which users can contribute to future shows by posting ideas, interview questions for upcoming guests, and stories on Spark's blog.
Stewart Butterfield is a Canadian born entrepreneur and businessman. He co-founded the photo sharing website Flickr and its parent company Ludicorp with his wife Caterina Fake. In March 2005 Ludicorp was acquired by Yahoo!, where he continued as the General Manager of Flickr. In 2005, he was named one of Businessweek's Top 50 Leaders in the entrepreneur category and was awarded a TR35 award as one of 35 top innovators under the age of 35 by MIT's Technology Review. In 2006, he was named to the Time 100, Time Magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.
Rounding out our list of Keynote speakers is Rob Cottingham from Social Signal.
Wow! Tickets are sold out for the entire conference. We're sorry we don't have room for everyone who wants to attend.
